Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
Do you require a reservation?
Yes, we require a reservation for all boarding stays. Reservations are necessary so that we can ensure that we have a space available for your dog during the dates of their stay. We recommend that you make your reservation as soon as you know your travel dates, as our calendar fills up quickly, especially during holiday periods.
How many Dogs do you accomodate?
We strictly limit the number of dogs in our facility. We do not exceed over 20 dogs at a time. Less dogs in a facility are more calming to dogs. If there are too many in one place, it’s overwhelming and too stressful on the dog.
What do the Dogs sleep on?
We have high quality custom raised dog cots, that the dogs sleep on. If a dog has never experienced one before, they will go home wanting one. Raised dog cots are better on the dog’s joints no matter what age and size they are.
Play time – does my Dog get playtime?
Our kiddos get out twice a day for an hour session with our staff to play. What’s even better is they receive one-on-one time throughout the day. Dogs have activity all day long. They go on one-on-one walks with the staff, outdoor time to enjoy a nice breeze to relax, have play time and endless amount of TLC with staff.
Is there planned rest time during the day?
We don’t have planned rest time, however by midday dogs are tired. We start them early in the day and by midday the facility becomes quiet as dogs are resting on their own.
Do you let owners bring something from home? Blankets, pillow, or toy?
Yes, we always encourage owners to bring something from home for their dog. It can be anything from a favorite toy to a blanket or pillow. This helps your dog feel more comfortable in an unfamiliar environment.
Do you offer grooming or bathing?
What makes us different is your dog will automatically receive an exit bath. No additional fee.
When do you feed the dogs?
We require our clients to fill-out feeding instructions at drop off. We have plenty of our own measuring cups, spoons and do not charge anything extra. If your dog is on a specific diet and their food needs freezer or refrigeration that is not an issue at all. We do not provide dogs our kennel food as this may cause stomach issues which can cause anxiety for the dog. It is our goal to make your dog as comfortable as possible while being away from home.
Do you provide snacks?
We have a variety of snacks for dogs. We are a training facility too so we have an endless amount of snacks on hand. It’s important for us to know ahead of time at intake during your free evaluation prior to boarding your dog with us for the first time if they have any dietary restrictions.
Do dogs have access to outdoors or do you let them out?
Dogs have access to the outdoors. They go on one-on-one walks and also have an outdoor area they can spend time.
Are Dogs required to have vaccinations? What are they?
Yes- we require rabies, Bordetella and DHPP. The DHPP, is a combination of vaccines such as: Canine Distemper (D), infectious hepatitis/adenovirus (H), Parainfluenza (P) and Parvo (P).
What happens if there is a medical emergency?
We hope this occurrence never arises and we take safety measures very serious. If an unusual circumstance were to arise or we notice anything of concern, we will notify you immediately. We will discuss with you the next step to take with your dog and if we need to take your dog to the vet, we have business relationships with the nearby veterinary clinics.
What type of security do you have on site?
You don't need to worry as we have 24/7 surveillance and an alarm system.

The Collar Club Academy Off-Leash Training Program is a more in-depth 4-5-week training program taught by one of our certified professional dog trainers. You dog will train every single day, multiple times per day to form a routine that will lead to faster, more consistent long-term results.
What sets the Off-Leash Training program apart from the On-Leash program, besides its length, is the focus on off-leash training with distractions. This is a great program to choose if you plan on having your dog off-leash anywhere they could potentially be distracted and put in harm’s way. Whether you would like to walk your dog off-leash or want them to behave at the dog park, off-leash training is key to ensure their obedience with or without the lead. We spend the time with your dog that is necessary to instill learned behavior to ensure that you can feel confident about letting him/her off the leash, with or without distractions, and expect the same obedient behavior.
We will also train your dog basic obedience commands including heel, place, down, sit, stay, and coming when called (recall). At the Collar Club Academy, we make sure to nip any jumping in the bud and work with your pup to control their behavior at and through doorways. Unlike the On-Leash Training Program, with the Off-Leash Training program, you receive 2 collars for your pooch - 1 flat collar and 1 e Collar. e-Collars are an incredible tool to train your dog and ensure that they are well-behaved with or without a leash.
At the 2-3 week mark during the training, we will have you join us at the facility to start working with your dog in person to acquire the skills and knowledge to continue the training at home when the training course is complete.
